Disney has finally shared a first look at its upcoming live-action adaptation of Tangled.
The studio debuted footage from the highly anticipated movie during its Entertainment Showcase at D23 on Friday night (August 14) at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.
The preview gave attendees their first look at Teagan Croft as Rapunzel, complete with the character’s signature long blonde hair and purple dress. It also featured Milo Manheim in costume as Flynn Rider and Kathryn Hahn as Mother Gothel.
Kathryn appeared at the event to present the movie and discuss taking on the iconic Disney villain.

“I love Mother Gothel, I love playing her, she’s the best kind of villain,” she told the audience, adding that the character believes she is actually the hero of the story, per Entertainment Weekly.
Teagan and Milo were unable to attend the presentation because they are currently filming in Spain. However, the two stars appeared in a video message recorded from the set.
The Greatest Showman filmmaker Michael Gracey is directing the adaptation from a screenplay by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.
Disney’s original animated Tangled was released in 2010 and featured Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi as the voices of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, respectively.
The live-action Tangled is now scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 31, 2028.
