Ezra Sosa is sharing a sweet message of support for his sister, Stephani Sosa, after her elimination from Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro.
In an Instagram video, Ezra, 25, and Stephani, 26, filmed themselves watching her and contestant Tristen Sanders exit the competition in the Monday, August 3, episode. In the clip, Stephani became emotional as Ezra threw his arm around his sister.
“It’s, like, weird watching it back,” Stephani said in the Tuesday, August 4, social media video to Ezra, who replied, “It’s OK. … You look so good. Steph, I’m so sorry. You know what? If I was eliminated, I’d want to look that hot too.”
Stephani laughed at Ezra’s remark, while the pair watched judge Shirley Ballas say on the show that she is “a star.”
“Aw that’s nice,” Ezra reacted. “It’s very true. You should be so proud of yourself Steph.”
“I’m so proud of you @stephychica 🥺🥹 #dwts,” Ezra captioned the post, to which Stephani commented, “I hope I made you proud ❤️.”
Stephani appeared as a contestant on season 1 of DWTS: The Next Pro, vying for a spot as a pro on season 35 of DWTS after previously being on the troupe. Ezra, for his part, has been a pro on DWTS since 2024.
One week prior to Stephani’s elimination, she accidentally struck fellow contestant Natalie Jolley in the face while the pair were rehearsing a group number. Natalie, 20, sustained a black eye and was eliminated per medical advice.

“That was really hard for me,” Stephani recalled during the Thursday, July 30, episode of the “Viall Files” podcast. “I know Natalie, like, personally. We went to the same dance studio, and it just broke my heart that she left the competition early.”
She continued, “It was a really hard week for me because I just felt horrible, and she’s such a beautiful dancer in person. It was really hard for me.”
Ahead of the show airing, Ezra gushed over his sister’s talents.
“I think she should be so proud of her dancing. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her dance that good before,” he exclusively shared with Us in July. “I also know how hard she worked for it. It’s honestly a really good feeling just to see it pay off. … Just to see her smile watching herself on TV, as her brother, that means a lot.”
