Hollywood Names Surface in Peter Thiel-Backed, Invite-Only Society https://t.co/beJXhLlI7f
— The Hollywood Reporter (@THR) June 18, 2026
Dialog is an invite-only society backed by Peter Thiel that, per THR, “bills itself as a forum for leaders to “discuss topics off-the-record,” maintains a low public profile and has never shared a list of its members. For decades, little to nothing has been uncovered about the group.”
This week, Maia Arson Crimew, a Swiss independent researcher, leaked information into the society and provided THR the materials, including a membership directory.
Names include some ONTD faves/anti-faves, including:
Josh Brolin (No Country for Old Men, Avengers: Infinity War)
Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises, 500 Days of Summer)
Sophia Bush (One Tree Hill)
Scooter Braun (CEO, Hybe America)
Isaac Lee (chairman and CEO, Hybe America)
Scott Belsky (partner, A24)
Benj Pasek (composer-producer, La La Land, The Greatest Showman)
Eva Price (CEO, Maximum Entertainment Productions)
Teresa Hsiao (writer-producer, Family Guy, American Dad)
Zach Shields (executive producer-writer, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Gladys)
Nick Thompson (CEO, The Atlantic)
Ezra Klein (The New York Times)
Elon Musk
Jared Kushner
Ted Cruz
THR: “The leaked materials show that Dialog maintains a vetting process for membership. Applicants are assigned a grade that reflects their influence in their respective industry, qualifications, purpose for joining and the active member who recommended them, among other things… Hsiao, who didn’t respond to a request for comment, was assigned an A grade… Brolin, another first-time Dialoger meanwhile, was given a C grade by Thiel’s organization.”
ONTD, if you made such a big goddamn deal about what an activist you were to the point of dedicating your ostentatious vogue wedding spread to Black civil rights activism, would you then join a Peter Thiel society?
EDIT: Joseph Gordon-Levitt addressed the leak an hour ago on his insta:
[Spoiler (click to open)]Re: Dialog conferences
I understand why people have questions and are suspicious. Some of the headlines and posts circulating about this are alarming, if not bizarre. So let me clarify:
I have been to two Dialog conferences. But, I do not know Peter Thiel. I’ve never met him. I’ve never spoken with him or his representatives. I’ve never seen him at an event. From what I’ve read about his views, we are political and ideological opposites.
At the Dialog conferences I’ve been to, there were a wide variety of people, with a wide variety of opinions, some I agreed with, some I didn’t. I can’t speak to every person named in the reporting, but my experience was not of a single ideological gathering.
Over the last couple of years, l’ve been focused on trying to make a positive impact on how the future unfolds, especially when it comes to tech and Al. Part of that work means forming relationships with all kinds of people, trying to understand their perspective, and trying to get them to understand mine. Sometimes it’s productive to engage with those we oppose.
EDIT 2: Teresa Hsiao also addressed the leak a few hours ago, where among other things she criticized Crimew for unethical hacking, woe:
