Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit, who suffers from a rare form of pulmonary fibrosis, has been placed on a waiting list for a lung transplant. The Palace announced that the princess has suspended official duties and will have the operation as soon as a donor becomes available. In a press conference on Friday, a lung specialist at Oslo University Hospital said that over the past six months, Mette-Marit’s condition has deteriorated significantly.
