The Astaire estate was firm that Fred “was explicit in his will that he did not want his life story to be depicted on screen” (but his widow also let his footage be used on vacuum cleaner commercials so…)

Holland was rigorously trained in ballet, tap dancing, and acrobatics as part of his preparation for Billy Elliot the Musical
