Two Survivor contestants will be checking in to The White Lotus!
During the live Survivor 50 finale that aired on Wednesday night (May 20), Mike White – who competed on the season – popped in via video call to announced that two contestants will be making cameos in the upcoming fourth season of his Emmy-winning HBO series.
Mike announced that Charlie Davis and Kamilla Karthigesu will be appearing in the new season, which is currently filming in the South of France!
If you didn’t know, Mike actually pushed back production on season four of The White Lotus so that he could compete on Survivor 50. He ended up being the fifth person voted out this season.
When host Jeff Probst asked why he wanted to return to the CBS competition series, Mike said, “Survivor has given me so much, as a viewer and when I was a contestant. Fifty seasons, are you kidding? There’s nothing that could have stopped me from coming back.”
Mike went on to joke that he was voted off, he took a day to “nurse my wounds” before getting back to writing season four.
Charlie and Kamilla aren’t the first Survivor contestants to be cast on The White Lotus. In season two, Survivor: David vs. Goliath contestants Angelina Keeley and Kara Kay made cameos as hotel guests.
What is The White Lotus season 4 about?
Season four is unique in that it’s centering around a real-life event: the Cannes Film Festival. This season will follow guests at the fictional hotel near the film festival in France.
Variety reports that this is the basic premise for the new season: “In Cannes, two rival film teams descend upon the Cannes Film Festival with movies in competition and something to prove. One camps out at a flashy, palatial hotel on the Croisette, while the other is ensconced in a luxurious hilltop hideaway.”
Who is starring in The White Lotus season 4?
The cast includes Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Laura Dern, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Dylan Ennis, Corentin Fila, Ari Graynor, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, AJ Michalka, Kumail Nanjiani and Nadia Tereszkiewicz.
Additional cast includes Chloe Bennet, Sandra Bernhard, Heather Graham, Max Greenfield, Frida Gustavsson, Charlie Hall, Jarrad Paul, Rosie Perez, Ben Schnetzer, Laura Smet, Max Minghella, Ben Kingsley, and Pekka Strang.
When will it air on HBO?
