James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti’s show, Everyone Is Doing Great, was already a One Tree Hill reunion — but the pair are bringing on more fan-favorites from the beloved teen series for season 2.
Bryan Greenberg, who played Jake Jagielski on OTH, and Robbie Jones, who played Quentin Fields, are among the guest stars joining the fold for the second installment of Everyone Is Doing Great, a self-referential and heavily improvised comedy series created by, written by and starring Lafferty, 40, and Colletti, 40. Greenberg’s wife, Jamie Chung, will also make an appearance.
“It was such a gift to work with them,” Lafferty, 40, told Us Weekly exclusively of reuniting with Greenberg, 47, and Jones, 48, ahead of the season 2 premiere of the show on Netflix. “They just went like wildfire. They’re two of my favorite scenes in the whole season.”
Everyone Is Doing Great, which follows two teen heartthrobs navigating the brutal realities of Hollywood years after their beloved TV show came to an end — sound familiar? — originally premiered on Hulu in 2021. Now, five years later, Netflix has picked up the rights to the show and greenlit a second season. (Both seasons 1 and 2 will be streaming starting Monday, May 11.)

Drawing from Lafferty and Colletti’s experiences post-One Tree Hill, the show also costars Lafferty’s wife, Alexandra Park, as his character’s wife, and fellow Aussie actress Cariba Heine rounds out the quad of friends and lovers at the core of the show.
“When I first got on One Tree Hill back in 2006 or so, it was such a big moment for me in my life, wanting to continue to work on that show and even getting that job in the first place,” Colletti recalled to Us. “So to finally, full-circle, be back with one of my good friends from that show, and to have our own show back shooting there… has been really, really fun.”
The Laguna Beach alum is referencing a portion of season 1 that takes place in Wilmington, North Carolina — a.k.a. the real-life “Tree Hill” — and die-hard fans will notice Easter eggs nodding to the show throughout, including a shot of Brooke Davis’ iconic home.
“Bryan and Robbie’s scenes are fantastic. They are hilarious,” Colletti said of reuniting with his fellow OTH alums. “I think one of Bryan’s scenes we moved up in one of the episodes because we were like, ‘This is so good. We want to get this closer to the beginning of the episode.’ He’s so great. He brought it for us, and Robbie as well.”
He continued: “Fans can really look forward to their characters. It’s going to be something different from what they’re used to from those guys.”

If — fingers crossed — the show is greenlit for a season 3, would they continue the trend of bringing aboard members of the One Tree Hill family?
“We’re an independent show, so I think we’re always going to be calling in favors,” joked Lafferty.
Park, 36, added: “We’ll keep trying. One of the amazing things about this show is that we will have an idea in the writer’s room and come up with something, and because we’re a mostly improvised show, there aren’t any scripts. It’s like we have this gift of, firstly, our very talented friends accepting our plea to come onto the show, and then secondly, being able to witness what they bring to the character.”
Colletti, however, has someone in particular in mind.
“It would be really nice if Robert Buckley would say yes to us,” he told Us, joking that the actor — who played Clay Evans in the later seasons of One Tree Hill and cohosted rewatch podcast “Drama Queens” alongside Bethany Joy Lenz, Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton — is their “white whale.” He added, “He’s eluded us up to this point. … Robert Buckley: If you are out there and you see this, please, please join us in season 3 of Everyone Is Doing Great. I feel like if you say yes, then the powers that be will say yes to season 3 [so] no pressure, Rob, it’s all on you.”
Everyone Is Doing Great seasons 1 and 2 will be streaming on Netflix starting Monday, May 11.
