Arie Luyendyk Jr.‘s wife Lauren Burnham Luyendyk is calling out Alex Cooper.
In a recent post to her social media, she declared, “Team @alixearle all the way. It’s about time Alex Cooper gets called out.”
She then explained why she seemingly does not care for the “Call her Daddy” podcast host. If you are not aware, it seems as if Alix and Alex are in a feud that has caused some to “take sides.”
“They had this regular segment ongoing and they thought it would be funny to make fun of our unborn baby,” Lauren said in a TikTok. “Make fun of us, don’t care. But they took it too far. They made a regular segment before she was born and after she was born where they were sexualizing our child and talking very inappropriately and disgustingly about her.”
She continued, “We thought it would blow over. She just kept going on forever. Eventually she stopped and we kind of forgot about it and now that it’s resurfacing again, it still makes me so furious. I just hope that all of this controversy that’s hanging around her right now causes her to rethink the level that she is willing to stoop to to get attention, views, whatever it is that she’s looking for because it’s not okay and that’s all I have to say about that.”
Lauren did not share the exact comments that were made. Fans on Reddit have been talking about this for years. Here’s what one commenter claimed went down: “I’m pretty sure it was started when Lauren was still pregnant and [original CHD co-host Sofia Franklyn] would read the posts Lauren would write as Alessi in a baby voice and they’d talk about how weird it was she was writing captions as her unborn child. They didn’t make fun of the baby, her appearance, voice, etc. but people thought it was funny and then it became a character.”
