The latest A Bit Fruity podcast documents the utterly bizarre publicity stunt where a doordash grandma delivered McDonald’s directly to the White House. Trump answers the door. Some facts I learned from this video:
- This podcast is occasionally about Debra Messing. See below the cut for the Debra Messing episode that I do not think I posted because every time I posted this podcast, multiple people complained about vocal fry. Pls do not complain about Kat and Matt’s vocal fry. Let them fry. Also, Matt Bernstein is not a fan of Miss Debra, as you will see if you watch to video below. You will also learn that Matt Bernstein is probably on a list somewhere because Ariana Grande shared their post on instagram and Trump et al got really mad.
- Trump made like 3 billion in his crypto grift this year and only tipped this lady $100, which is the equivalent of ha’penny as a tip for normal people.
- J. Lo famously gives servers tips and asks for them back. We do not have confirmation that Trump asked for that $100 back, but it feels like something he would do.
- Doordash Grandma is named Sharon Simmons from Arkansas. The White House paid (probably with our tax dollars idk) for her to be flown in and participate in this little stunt. She’s a gig worker in this late-stage capitalist torment nexus because her husband has cancer. Socialized medicine would probably help her more than the no taxes on tips policy from the “Big Beautiful Bill” and a $100 tip from a cheapskate fraud.
This is just stuff I learned from the first 10 minutes. Please watch the rest to learn more about this truly weird PR stunt.
Edit: It’s even worse. Trump’s/the White House posts were crossposted on doordash’s official social media. So not only is this a PR stunt; it also serves as advertising for doordash, a company that does everything it can to pay its gig workers as little as possible, profiting off their labor.
