Netflix shared today that Kerry Condon will join Maya Hawke (whose casting was previously announced) in a series adaptation of The God of the Woods by Liz Moore. It takes place in 1975 and follows the mysterious disappearance of a 13-year-old girl from her summer camp, which echoes her older brother’s unsolved disappearance years prior.
Condon will play Alice van Laar, the matriarch of the wealthy but deeply troubled family, while Hawke plays Judy Luptack, an investigator tasked with solving the missing persons case.
