Monaco is getting ready for the Rose Ball, one of most famous evenings in its social calendar. Tonight, the Sporting Club de Monte Carlo will dress up to celebrate the 70th edition of the event, and the landmark anniversary isn’t the only thing special about the 2026 iteration of the gala: it’s also been two decades since a young Charlotte Casiraghi, just 19 years old and then a literature student in Paris, attended the ball for the first time, marking the beginning of a new era for the Grimaldi dynasty.
For her grand debut, Princess Caroline‘s eldest daughter chose a Chanel dress in white and adorned with feathers, establishing a link with her mother’s favorite maison. That connection would reach new heights in 2021, when she was named the brand’s ambassador. Charlotte’s debut was shared, as she was accompanied by her brothers: a very young Pierre Casiraghi, 18, who was also making his debut that night, and Andrea, 21, who attended with his eventual wife, Tatiana Santo Domingo.
