Now that ABC has decided not to air The Bachelorette season 22 starring Taylor Frankie Paul, the network has shared its alternate plans.
Instead of the reality dating series, ABC will air a rerun of American Idol in its place during the original two-hour timeslot scheduled for Sunday, March 22 at 8 pm ET, per People.

In case you missed it, ABC chose to scrap the season after a video of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star leaked that shows her attacking her estranged husband Dakota Mortensen and throwing furniture at him that is believed to have also mistakenly struck her child.
New dating show Love Overboard hosted by Gabby Windey was supposed to air right after The Bachelorette at 10 pm ET, and seemingly still is as there hasn’t been any news to say it will be moved at the time of writing this article.
ABC’s decision to scrap the season is likely going to cost them tens of millions of dollars, especially because they do not actually produce the show but have already had to pay licensing fees to Warner Bros. Unscripted TV in addition to marketing costs and other revenue losses.
Filming for season 5 of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is currently on pause and another couple from the Hulu reality series just announced their split as well.
