The trailer for Martin McDonagh‘s new movie Wild Horse Nine has debuted!
Here’s the official synopsis of the film: Shortly before the 1973 Chilean coup, CIA agents Chris (John Malkovich) and Lee (Sam Rockwell) are dispatched from Santiago to Easter island by their bureau chief, MJ (Steve Buscemi). Amongst the Island’s iconic statues, and as the longtime partners wrestle with their dark pasts and present conspiracies, Chris’s newfound bond with a pair of rebellious students (Mariana di Girolamo and Ailín Salas) threatens to send everyone’s trip to this remote paradise sideways.
Tom Waits and Parker Posey also star.
The film will hit theaters on November 6, 2026.

Even though the 2026 Oscars just wrapped up, movie fans are already looking towards the 2027 Oscars, and Wild Horse Nine is one of the early films that cinephiles have their eyes on!
Martin is no stranger to the Oscars. His film The Banshees of Inisherin garnered 9 nominations back in 2023.
Sam and Martin have worked together before on Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Sam won an Oscar for his work in the film.
