OP’S NOTE: Hi everyone!! It’s been a good while since my first attempt at this, but I hope I can do a better job this time around! One again I hope our original resident music poster, mayjailer, is at peace & doing well wherever they may be. I have a better template for things this time so I will be much more consistent, any feedback on things you’d like to see are welcome. It brings me joy to make these for you guys so I hope you like it! There is one, actually two, glaring omissions this week: Morrissey & Gnarls Barkley. While I can acknowledge the great artistry and talent they’ve shown in the past, I would not want their inclusion in this post to be confused for an endorsement of these artists as people due to their actions/politics. It’s a bit upsetting for one, because i’d been yearning/waiting for GB to release a new album for years, having loved the first two albums. I have listened to the album (illegally so as to not give it any money), and yes, it is good, but definitely understand those who refuse to listen. I wish I could have enjoyed this under much better circumstances, but make no mistake, I believe victims first and foremost. One small solace of this is that it is confirmed to be their final album, and whatever the reasonings may be for it to finally arrive after so long, it is good that we now put it to rest just as quickly.
