During the recent premiere of Hoppers, the actor told Entertainment Tonight that he would never have thought he could be “meme-worthy at the ripe old age of 54.”

“I think part of it is engaging with life and being creative and having fun — I think all of that is a better way to get meme-ified than the negative way,” he said. “A little joy goes a long way!”

He previously talked about it with People as well, calling the whole thing “mystifying.”

“It wasn’t like I got paid for it. It’s lovely, obviously. It’s nice,” Jon said. “It’s certainly nice to be known for something pleasant rather than something negative. I find it mystifying and adorable at the same time, but it’s fun.”

Find out which movie Jon thinks is one of the “worst,” despite seeing it many times.
