Sharon and Kelly Osbourne made an emotional speech in honour of the late Ozzy Osbourne as the Black Sabbath icon was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the BRIT Awards.

The duo were introduced to the stage at Saturday’s (28.02.26) ceremony in Manchester by a pre-recorded message from country legend Dolly Parton and paid a loving tribute to Ozzy, who died at the age of 76 in July 2025.
Sharon, 73, told the crowd at the Co-Op Live Arena: “I’m honoured to accept this award from my gorgeous husband, this Lifetime Achievement Award. God knows, I wish he was here to accept it himself.”
The former X Factor judge explained that she couldn’t help but “waffle on” about her husband, even though he hated speeches.
Sharon said: “He came from a small working class neighbourhood in Birmingham. He rose to become one of the most recognisable and respected musicians of his life, and he was filled with extraordinarily wonderful high times but very, very real low times, but he never stopped tirelessly pushing himself. To do better. He always wanted to do better both personally and professionally.”
She continued: “We spent most of our lives touring the world. But Ozzy’s heart never left England. Wherever we were in the world, he was always proud to be that working class Brummie, and he never let anyone forget it’.”
Sharon explained that she was also accepting the award in honour of Ozzy’s fellow musicians and for the devoted fans who took to the streets of Birmingham for his memorial last year.
She said: “If Ozzy was here tonight with us, he would be showing us that gorgeous smile that he had and I know he would be so proud to receive this from the country that he loved. So he may not be here, but he left us one amazing body of work that will never be forgotten by the country that made him.”
Ozzy’s daughter Kelly then took to the microphone and said: “Thank you for loving my father as much as we do.”
She then issued a rallying cry for Ozzy’s beloved football team Aston Villa and hoped it wouldn’t offend the Manchester crowd.
The 41-year-old star joked: “And I hope I don’t disrespect Manchester by saying this. But up the Villa.”
The pair’s speech was then followed by a performance of Ozzy’s track No More Tears by a supergroup fronted by Robbie Williams alongside Adam Wakeman, Robert Trujillo, Tommy Clufetos and Zack Wylde.
