Kelly Clarkson doesn’t really have short hair right now!
The Grammy-winning singer showed off a new bob “haircut” during the season premiere of The Voice: Battle of Champions, but she didn’t actually chop off her long hair.
Kelly explained at one of her recent Las Vegas concerts that the short hair seen in The Voice promos for season 29 was an illusion.

“My hair guy, Robert, is so good. They braided all my hair except for the very tippy-top,” she said (via NBC Insider).
“I asked for a bob, because I really want to cut my hair, but I’m like one of those moms that’s like, I’m wearing Alo every day…I got my mom bun … I’m comfortable, okay?” Kelly said. “I can’t be having short hair, that’s some hard sh-t to keep up with, you know what I’m saying?”
Kelly added, “But he’s so talented everybody thought that I had chopped my hair off. But I didn’t.”
