Danielle Deadwyler’s rumoured involvement in Hulu’s X-Files reboot was made official today, as the trades confirmed she will co-lead the series. Ryan Coogler will write and direct the pilot, as well as serve as executive producer (alongside his producing partners Sev Ohanian and Zinzi Coogler). Chris Carter, who created the original series, is also an executive producer. Jennifer Yale will act as showrunner.
The logline: “Two highly decorated but vastly different FBI agents form an unlikely bond when they are assigned to a long-shuttered division devoted to cases involving unexplained phenomena.”
