Kelly Osbourne has faced public scrutiny most of her life, but made it clear the latest wave of criticism crossed a line.
Osbourne, 41, pushed back against body-shamers with a response addressing one comment in particular on Monday, February 23, labeling her “too thin” and “fragile,” while comparing her to a “dead body.”
“Literally can’t believe how disgusting some human beings truly are! No one deserves this sort of abuse!” she captioned a screenshot of her comments section via Instagram Stories after making a recent appearance at the Royal Ascot Millinery Collective Spring/Summer 2026 presentation in London on Sunday, February 22.
Kelly — daughter of the late Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne — spoke out after sharing a post featuring several images from her recent appearance, in which she wore a full-length sheer plum gown with sparkling embellishments. She completed her outfit with a dainty necklace, a short cropped blonde bob with fringed bangs and a soft pink makeup look.
Several comments criticized her figure while some expressed concern and others defended Kelly, showing her support months after the death of her father, Ozzy, in July 2025 at the age of 76. (The beloved rock star died of a heart attack and had coronary artery disease in addition to suffering from Parkinson’s disease for years, according to his death certificate.)
After seeing the remarks about Kelly’s appearance, one person replied, “Absolutely stunning!!! I’m so sorry for all the hate comments, it’s disgusting. Grief will literally CONSUME you, they just don’t understand yet.”
“I love how fast people in the comments can tell Kelly to gain weight but if someone in their life told them they were fat and needed to lose weight they’d fall apart,” a second person echoed.
Kelly added another post on Monday, reading, “This too shall pass, but like, holy f***.”
The former reality star previously addressed the “horrible, mean, and rude comments” she received online back in December 2025, while thanking the fans who have sent her well wishes.
“First, I want to start by saying I received so many lovely, lovely, lovely comments from people that have really helped me get through this time in my life since losing my father,” she said in a video at the time. “I’m just here to say, what do you expect from me? What do you expect me to look like right now? The fact that I’m getting out of bed and facing my life and trying to be more than enough, I should be commended for that.”
“You say that I look ill. Well, I am ill right now,” she admitted. “My life is completely flipped upside down.”
Kelly said she is well aware of what people think of her physical appearance, slamming the women who went out of their way to post insensitive comments.
“Another thing that is strange is that you compare photos of me now at 41 years old to a picture of me when I was 18 years old,” she stated. “People’s faces change when you grow older.”
Kelly concluded her post by noting “it’s absolutely devastating that women can’t support other women.”
