Katie Price‘s eldest daughter hasn’t met her new stepfather.
Princess Andre hasn’t met her mum’s new husband
The former glamour model married Lee Andrews in Dubai last month just days after they first met in person and while 18-year-old Princess Andre – whose dad is singer Peter Andre – thinks her mum is “crazy”, she just wants her to be happy.
Princess told The Sun on Sunday newspaper’s Fabulous magazine: “She’s crazy. But it’s my mum. . . I mean, if she’s happy, I’m happy. No, I haven’t met Lee, and, yes, I’ve seen Mum since she got married.”
Earlier this month, Katie and Peter issued a joint statement in which they agreed to be on amicable terms for the sake of Princess and her 20-year-old brother Junior, and the teenager admitted it is a “relief” that life will be “easier” as a result.
She said: “I feel really happy that they’ve both agreed to move forward on good terms. For myself and Junior, it’s nice to know that life will be easier for everybody.
“It is definitely a relief, and I feel like now as a family, we can all be happy.
“It’s also going to be nice to not have people asking me and Junior about our parents’ issues and putting us in the middle. Not everything people see online is true, so hopefully this is a good way to clear up the rumours.”
Princess faced criticism when the first series of her reality show, The Princess Diaries, featured Peter but not Katie, so this time neither of them will be in the show other than during phone calls.
She said: “Obviously, Mum and Dad aren’t in it now because of the backlash we had.
“But now everyone’s moved on from it and been mature about the situation. It was a mutual agreement from everyone to do it like this.
“Because it is my own show, they wanted me to do it for myself, but you’ll definitely see my siblings Junior and Harvey. It’s showing me being independent, being my own person and following my own life.”
And Princess – who has five step-siblings from her parents’ other relationships – is aware people will question Katie and Peter’s absence from the show but she is determined to do things on her own.
She said: “I get that I am known from my parents, and I grew up in the public eye because of them. Even with my reality show, I know people will say: ‘Why aren’t your parents in it now?’ because they want to see them. But I’ve got my own audience.
“I’ve built my own path and my socials by myself. So, as much as people can say that I am a nepo baby, I am also my own person and, as I get older, I’m going to keep doing my own things. I’m going to continue to build by doing things myself.”
