Ashley Tisdale wrote an article for The Cut about leaving a mommy group that she considered toxic. The group allegedly included famous moms such as Hilary Duff, Meghan Trainor, Mandy Moore,
After Tisdale had her daughter in 2021, she wanted a group of moms with whom she could bond, learn from, and commiserate.
At first, she says, “What I remember most from those early days was how impressed I was by those women and all of the amazing things they had going on. They were building brands, running their own companies, launching creative projects. They just happened to also be mothers of young kids.”
She thought, “I was certain that I’d found my village.” However, she soon noticed that:
She brought it up with the group, saying that it felt too “high school.” One sent her flowers, then ignored her when she thanked them. She still doesn’t know why she was excluded…just suspects that she wasn’t “cool” enough.
