During their early days of dating, the longtime couple stepped out in London wearing matching Gucci leather suits. While this “spy look” is now considered legendary, Victoria Beckham has admitted she has mixed feelings about it.
“It haunts me, it does haunt me, but I love it,” she said, which led Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen to jokingly ask if her reaction was because the suits were “hot.”
Turns out, it was more of a fashion faux pas. “We were wearing Gucci [and] it was a Versace dinner, which is inappropriate in itself,” Victoria revealed.
But there was a silver lining. “We really thought about it, and there was a naïveté to it that was just so sweet,” she shared.
Another memorable look from the duo was at the 2003 MTV Movie Awards, where they swapped leather for all-white ensembles, showing off a fresh, coordinated style that was a complete 180 from their edgy leather days.
