Irish influencer Niamh Cullen is mourning the death of her husband, Jamie Gill, after his fatal battle with cancer at age 33.

“The unimaginable has happened. Our worst nightmare,” Cullen, 33, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, November 29, announcing her husband’s death. “My beautiful husband has been taken from us. The light of my life.”

She continued, “I was the luckiest to be loved and adored by you Jamie. I love you endlessly, not just now, but eternally.”

Alongside her social media tribute, the “Unveiled” podcaster shared footage of Gill twirling her around while standing atop an ottoman.

Hollywood has mourned the deaths of some of its most legendary stars in 2025. The first half of the year saw the tragic news of the deaths of David Lynch, Michelle Trachtenberg, George Foreman, Val Kilmer and Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertston. Over the summer, we lost Anne Burrell, Ozzy Osbourne, Hulk Hogan, Malcolm-Jamal Warner […]

“This video for me shows our unconditional love, fun and laughter ❤️‍🩹,” Cullen concluded. “I’m broken.”

Cullen and Gill got married in November 2024, days before he was diagnosed with cancer.

“Last weekend marked one year of our marriage. Nothing could have prepared us for the journey that was ahead,” Cullen wrote via her Instagram earlier this month. “One day 3 of our wedding, Jamie became seriously unwell. What was meant to be a minion in Rome turned into 10 days in hospital.”

Upon Cullen and Gill’s return to Ireland, doctors revealed that he had a malignant tumor.

“Just two weeks before Christmas, Jamie underwent major surgery, where doctors discovered a cancerous tumor,” she explained at the time. “Our world shattered in an instant, but we stayed strong. Jamie bravely faced 10 rounds of chemotherapy. There were ups and downs along the way, but nothing could have prepared us for what followed after his 10th session.”

Earlier this fall, Jamie was hospitalized with pneumonia and sepsis, eventually learning that his cancer had recurred.

“My world feels broken, my blood still runs cold, but I know this: My husband is a fighter,” she wrote on November 14. “We will not give up.”

Cullen further revealed that Gill’s diagnosis marked a “devastating” chapter in their marriage.

“I don’t think I’ll ever be able to articulate Jamie’s strength throughout this entire journey,” she captioned her upload. “He never ceases to amaze me with his incredible positive outlook and mindset, even in the darkest moments. It’s been unimaginably tough seeing the person you love suffer and to feel so helpless. I get these waves of guilt daily because all I want to do is just swap places or take it away, but I can’t.”

The online community is honoring the lives of several social media influencers who died in 2025. On April 1, nursing influencer Hailey Okula died at age 33 after giving birth to her first child. She added at the time, “My husband is my inspiration, my hero and I love [being his wife] so much. In sickness and in health I know and pray that positive things are coming. They have to be, you deeply deserve it. Thanks for the support and patience. It’s been the most difficult time as newlyweds.”

Many of Cullen and Gill’s loved ones have since offered their condolences via social media.

“‘An absolute ball of a person’ is the easiest way to describe Jamie Gill, but he was so much more than that,” influencer James Kavanagh wrote via Instagram on Saturday. “He gave everyone in his orbit undivided attention if you wanted it. He listened, was always FULL of enthusiasm and advice and had the most genuine interest in seeing his friends and family flourish.”

Kavanagh, 36, also shared a message for Cullen, adding, “My love for you grows silly amounts day by day, and me and your devoted friends and family will be with you every step of the way.”
