Tekashi 6ix9ine – whose real name is Daniel Hernandez – is no stranger to legal troubles, and he recently found himself in the middle of a new scandal when his mom was held against her will during a home invasion in November 2025.

Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Mom Was Held Against Her Will During Home Invasion in November 2025
Hernandez’s mom was at his home in Florida when four armed men broke in on the night of November 16 while looking for cash and car keys, the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office told TMZ.
Once police arrived at the scene, they learned that the men entered the house with handguns and held Hernandez’s mom at gunpoint as the suspects looked through the home for money.

The officers searched Hernandez’s home with a K-9 unit, though they were unable to find the suspects. The Sheriff’s office said it’s possible that the suspects drove off in a vehicle before deputies arrived at the home.
Hernandez told TMZ that he was not home at the time of the incident and was instead livestreaming with Jack Doherty.
Tekashi 6ix9ine Was Sentenced to Probation in 2015
The recent home invasion isn’t the first time Hernandez has found himself in the middle of legal issues. In 2015, Hernandez was sentenced to probation for his involvement in a sexually explicit video of a 13-year-old girl that was posted on social media, according to NBC New York.
The video showed the young girl performing a sex act on another man as Hernandez stood “behind the child making a thrusting motion with his pelvis and smacking her on her buttocks,” according to court documents.
Tekashi 6ix9ine Was Found Guilty in 2019 for Involvement in Racketeering Case
His legal troubles continued in 2019 when he was sentenced to two years in prison for his involvement in a racketeering case. According to NBC News, he pleaded guilty to charges that accused him of joining and directing violence that was organized by the gang Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.
During the trial, prosecutors said the gang carried out acts of murder, robbery and narcotics trafficking in the New York City neighborhoods of Manhattan, the Bronx and Brooklyn dating back to at least 2013, per NBC News New York.
Hernandez was released from prison in April 2020 over concerns that his chronic asthma made him vulnerable to COVID-19, per NBC News. In light of his early release, he was ordered to serve the remainder of his sentence on house arrest.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Was Arrested in 2024 for Violating Conditions of His Release
The “MALA” rapper remained out of legal trouble until October 2024 when he was arrested for violating the conditions of his supervised release, according to NBC News. In November 2024, he agreed to another plea and served one month in jail for violating probation.
Following his month in jail, Hernandez had to serve one month of home incarceration, one month of home detention and one month of curfew in addition to electronic monitoring.
Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Home Was Raided by Police in March 2024
Hernandez’s Florida home was raided by federal authorities in March 2024. At the time, he told TMZ that police and federal agents entered his home and bound his hands as they went through the property from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Additionally, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to the outlet that its narcotics squad joined federal probation officers as they searched Hernandez’s home.
Hernandez claimed the officers took DNA samples from him, as well as confiscated guns and drugs to test for traces of his DNA, per the outlet. Meanwhile, the sheriff’s office confirmed they took items for additional analysis but did not specify if they took drugs and guns.
Following the raid, Hernandez was charged with four counts of violating his supervised release based on drugs that were found at his home during the raid. He pleaded not guilty to all four counts during an April 2025 court hearing, according to Complex.

However, he later admitted to breaking the rules of his supervised release by possessing the drugs in July 2025, per NBC New York. He is scheduled to appear in court for his sentencing on November 20, 2025.
Ahead of the sentencing, government prosecutors wrote a letter insisting that they believed Hernandez deserved to be sentenced to three to nine months in prison followed by a two-year term of supervised release, per Complex.
