Capital One is returning to South Beach, where it will host a series of events during Miami Art Week. Capital One is teaming up with the Cultivist and artist Alex Prager to bring her Mirage Factory immersive experience to The Shelborne By Proper on Miami Beach.

If you’re a Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card or Capital One Venture X Business cardholder, you’ll have access to a handful of exclusive events.

    Here’s what you can expect.

    Events overview

Capital One and the Cultivist have partnered with Alex Prager to create the Mirage Factory, an immersive pop-up experience, located at 430 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach. In addition, Capital One and The Cultivist will extend the Mirage Factory experience into The Shelborne By Proper located at 1801 Collins Ave., Miami Beach, Florida 33139. While close by, these locations are separate. These events will take place from Dec. 2-5.

The art installation will be open to the public Dec. 4-5.

However, there are numerous cardholder-exclusive events happening over the course of Art Week Miami at the Shelborne, including:

    • Dinner with Chef Dave Beran at the Mirage Factory on Dec. 2*
    • Martinis at the Mirage Factory on Dec. 4*
    • Golden Hour gatherings: Enjoy complimentary light bites and beverages poolside with live music Dec. 3-5, from 4 – 6 p.m.
    • Nightly Sound Sessions: Enjoy vibrant sounds with nightly DJ sets at the Shelborne bar from Dec. 2-5, from 9 – 11 p.m.
    • Wellness programming: Daily wellness classes all week at various times

*Events are sold out, but check periodically as more tickets may be released.

With multiple events, even if not every one interests you, there’s likely something that will.

    How to access these events

The Mirage Factory programming (Dinner with Chef Dave Beran on Dec. 2 and Martinis on Dec. 4) is available to all rewards cardholders, and The Shelborne programming (Golden Hour gatherings, Nightly Sound Sessions, and Wellness Programming) is for hotel guests, Venture X or Venture X Business cardholders.

If you’re not currently a Venture X or Venture X Business cardholder, now could be a great time to apply, as both cards are offering limited-time welcome bonuses.

    • Capital One Venture X: Earn 100,000 bonus miles after spending $10,000 on purchases in the first six months from account opening.
    • Capital One Venture X Business: Earn up to 400,000 bonus miles — 200,000 bonus miles after spending $30,000 in the first three months of account opening, and an additional 200,000 miles after spending $150,000 on purchases in the first six months.

At the time of writing, tickets for several events were sold out — but more were added later, which sold out again. So keep an eye out in case another drop of tickets comes soon.

If you’re considering attending and tickets become available again, I highly recommend paying cash for a ticket, as redeeming 25,000 miles is an extremely poor value.

Additionally, as a Venture X cardholder, you can receive 50% off a Cultivist Enthusiast membership for up to two years. This membership includes perks like free museum access, private museum hours and access to the Cultivist app.

    The Shelborne By Proper

The Shelborne By Proper is a historic Art Deco oceanfront hotel on South Beach and is a part of the Capital One Premier collection, their luxury hotel booking platform. When Venture X and Venture Business X cardholders book hotels through the Premier Collection, they receive premium benefits like:

    • A $100 experience credit
    • Daily breakfast for two
    • Room upgrades (when available)
    • Early check-in and late checkout (when available)

These benefits can further enhance your experience during Art Week.

    Other Capital One exclusive events

This isn’t Capital One’s first exclusive event, as they’ve hosted several cardholder-exclusive events and have more coming up this year. Some events have included:

    • Cardholder-exclusive experiences at Broadway shows like Mamma Mia
    • Cardholder-exclusive tickets to MLB games
    • Jose Andres Group’s race day party at the Las Vegas F1

If you want to stay up to date on cardholder-exclusive events, check the exclusive events section of Capital One Entertainment.

    Bottom line

If you’re a Venture X or Venture X Business cardholder headed to Miami Art Week, Capital One is providing plenty of reasons to stop by South Beach. With immersive art installations, wellness classes, exclusive dinners, poolside drinks and live DJ sets, there is likely something for everyone.

Plus, it serves as a valuable reminder that your card benefits can extend beyond the typical travel perks.
