Love might be getting a second chance for Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes. The country star and Outer Banks actor have reportedly rekindled their romance after a brief split — and according to insiders, it wasn’t a hard decision for either of them.
“Kelsea and Chase are giving their relationship another try,” a source told Us Weekly on November 10. “There’s still a lot of love there, so they fell back into it very naturally.”
The news comes after fans spotted the pair together near Edinburgh Castle in Scotland earlier this month, sparking instant reunion speculation. Neither Kelsea, 31, nor Chase, 33, has publicly commented on the relationship just yet — but their cozy appearance seems to say it all.
So far, neither Kelsea nor Chase have confirmed or denied their relationship status.
Their Scottish sighting comes just two months after Us Weekly confirmed that the pair had called it quits following nearly two years of dating. “It was a hard split,” another insider shared at the time. “They had been arguing a lot recently, and their communication wasn’t great in the last month. They were both traveling so much and trying to juggle everything, and the arguments piled up.”
According to that source, it was Kelsea who initiated the breakup conversation — but there was no bad blood. “There is still a lot of love between them,” the insider said. “Although it’s been a few years, Kelsea is still coming out of a divorce and figuring out what she really wants, and she’s not in a place where she’s going to just settle. Chase understood that, but in the end, they realized they weren’t aligning the way they hoped.”
Kelsea, who’s been candid about her healing journey after her 2022 divorce from country singer Morgan Evans, has mostly stayed quiet about her relationship status. After their split in September 2025, she subtly addressed the buzz with a TikTok using Ariana Grande’s “Shut Up,” writing, “CC: speculators, ‘sources,’ and hidden cameras outside the hair salon. Let us be. please.”
The couple first sparked dating rumors in early 2023 when Chase posted a photo of them together at the Georgia vs. TCU game in Los Angeles. A month later, Kelsea confirmed the romance, and by April, the two made it red carpet official at the CMT Awards.
