Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels suffered a gruesome arm injury during their Sunday Night Football game on November 2 against the Seattle Seahawks.

The 24-year-old star signal caller was running with the ball with only about 7 and a half minutes left in the game. He was tackled by Seattle’s Drake Thomas, and his elbow bent backwards as he impacted the ground.

When the injury happened, Jayden‘s teammates knelt on the ground waiting for news of his injury. He eventually walked off the field on his own with his arm in an air cast.

Now, there’s an update on what might have happened.

ESPN‘s sources are sharing they believe he has a “dislocated left elbow” and will have an MRI today to confirm.

With this kind of injury, he definitely won’t be playing again for a while but whether he’d be fully out the rest of the season is still up-in-the-air.

Backup quarterback Marcus Mariota appears to be taking over moving forward.

Marcus said, “Football is a violent game, something we understand going into it, but that being said, it still hurts. We all talked about it afterward, just being there for him. Making sure he feels supported and know he’s not doing this alone is important for us.”

Our thoughts are with Jayden Daniels during this time and we hope he makes a quick recovery.
