Priscilla Presley Legal Battle Turns Ugly as Ex-Partners Make Shocking Claims About Lisa Marie’s Deathhttps://t.co/ZeZ4p8eKGw

• Priscilla Presley’s former business partner Brigitte Kruse has filed a new fraud and breach of contract suit against Priscilla. Kruse first filed a breach of contract suit against Priscilla two years ago after Priscilla cut ties with their joint business venture.
• The suit, filed Monday, alleges Priscilla undermined business ventures and exploited the death of her daughter Lisa Marie Presley in order to gain control over Lisa’s trust and Graceland.
• Last year, Priscilla sued Kruse and her business associates for fraud and elder abuse and accused them of making her sign away 80% of her income. Kruse has denied the claims.

• Before Lisa Marie died in January 2023 at the age of 54, her relationship with her mother was severely strained and Kruse alleges Lisa Marie had no desire to see or be near her mother and was threatening to sue her. Kruse claims that she worked to keep the family together and along with Priscilla’s publicist arranged for mother and daughter to sit next to one another during the Golden Globes.
• Two days later, Lisa Marie suffered cardiac arrest. According to the complaint, Priscilla did not follow her daughter’s advanced care directive instructions that stated that she wanted her “life to be prolonged as long as possible within the limits of generally accepted health care standards.” A copy of the directive from 2010 is included as an exhibit to the suit.
• Despite Lisa Marie’s clear directive, Kruse claims that Priscilla pulled the plug within hours of Lisa being admitted and before Lisa Marie’s daughter, Riley Keough, was able to get to the hospital.
• Authorities have not claimed any wrongdoing in Lisa Marie’s death. The medical examiner’s autopsy report determined Lisa Marie had died from complications from weight loss surgery and had no brain activity when she went into cardiac arrest for a final time.
• The lawsuit claims: “Priscilla knew that Lisa’s death neutralized the threat of Lisa’s efforts to have Priscilla removed as the sole trustee of Lisa’s irrevocable life insurance trust, and Priscilla ultimately wanted to control the Promenade Trust and Graceland […] At her house the following week (before Lisa’s funeral), Priscilla exclaimed, ‘I’m the queen. I’m in charge of Graceland.’”
• Following Lisa Marie’s death and days after her funeral, Priscilla went to court to challenge a 2016 amendment that had earlier removed her as a trustee of Lisa Marie’s estate and made her granddaughter, Riley, sole trustee after son Benjamin’s death in 2020. The matter was settled five months later. Kruse claims that she brokered a deal with Riley on Priscilla’s behalf that got her a $2.4 mil payout and a seven-figure deal for Priscilla’s son, Navarone.
• Kruse and her associates accuse Priscilla of leaving their business in ruin.

• Presley’s attorney Marty Singer told the Daily Mail in part: “This is nothing more than a sad and vicious attempt to falsely tarnish the reputation of an eighty year old woman […] Kruse and her co-conspirators are now on their fourth different set of lawyers in this dispute, and this is a disgusting publicity stunt by new counsel, as evidenced by the fact that the complaint and press release were sent to the press before the complaint was served.
Accusing a grieving mother of contributing to her daughter’s death is not savvy advocacy; it is malicious character assassination […] These fabricated claims have absolutely no validity and we are confident this case will be dismissed.”
• The statement added that Riley Keough “stands behind her grandmother 100% and is equally disgusted with this latest, vicious attempt by Kruse to attempt to ruin her grandmother’s life.”
• A spokesperson for Keough did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Honestly seems like a money grab and blatant misinformation about her directive.
