A sequel to the 1997 romcom My Best Friend’s Wedding is currently in development at Sony Pictures. It’s being reported that writer/director Celine Song is writing a screenplay though it’s unlikely that she will direct it.
This update comes on the heels of Dermot Mulroney teasing that something was in the works while he was promoting his upcoming Netflix show. “I know nothing about it. Last I heard, quote, lawyers were talking, unquote.”
