-Madelyn Cline who stars in the new film revealed that the film looked different the beginning of June. Mid June before the opening they shot brand new scenes to address concerns from test audiences.

-In the original cut of the film, Danica – the modern Helen Shivers is killed off in the movie after attempting to save herself, getting stabbed and thrown overboard.
-With how popular Helen Shivers has become since the OG came out, this did not sit well with test audiences and so 2.5 weeks ago they shot a new ending where Danica washes ashore, is taken to the hospital and recovers reuniting with Julie 2.0.
-They also added in the scene of Danica visiting Helens grave during that reshooting period

-SMGs return as Helen was not in the original script. It was sent to her after rehearsal and they shot the Danica/Helen scene on a Saturday.
