    Cassie Asks Judge Not to Release Diddy After Trial, Says He Is ‘Likely to Pose a Danger’

    Cassie‘s attorney is making moves in the ongoing Diddy trial.

    The 38-year-old singer’s attorney Doug Wigdor submitted a letter asking the court to deny the 55-year-old music mogul’s release, according to the reporters in the courthouse, via NBC News.

    In the letter, the attorney referenced part of the Bail Reform Act to say that detention is “mandatory” after convictions on the Mann Act charges.

    The defense ultimately won three acquittals on Wednesday (July 2), with the jury saying Diddy was only guilty of the Mann Act transportation of his former girlfriends, Cassie and “Jane.” He was ultimately found not guilty of running a criminal enterprise and the two counts of sex trafficking.

    He added that Cassie “believes that Mr. Combs is likely to pose a danger to the victims who testified in this case, including herself, as well as to the community.”
