James Gunn is responding to the rumors that he’s already found his next Wonder Woman.
The DCU Co-CEO recently shared that a Wonder Woman film is “being written.” After he followed Adria Arjona, comic book fans began wondering if that meant that he had found his leading lady for the upcoming film.
Now, James has broken his silence on the rumors and revealed whether or not he’s considering Adria for the role.

James spoke to Extra about the rumors.
“I follow Adria on Instagram but everybody came out [and said], ‘He just followed her, that means she’s Wonder Woman.’ She’d be a great Wonder Woman, by the way,” James said in the interview.
He went on to say that he had followed her because they worked together previously, not necessarily because he was scouting her for a role in an upcoming movie.
James told Extra, “She was in a movie that I made seven years ago. We’ve been friends and have known each other since that time. I followed her then, I didn’t just follow her.”
