Indian actress and model Shefali Jariwala has died at the young age of 42.
The actress reportedly died on Friday night (June 27) after a medical emergency at her home in Andheri, a suburb of Mumbai, India.
Local news outlet Hindustan Times reports that it’s believed that Shefali suffered cardiac arrest, but an autopsy and investigation into her death are still underway.
It was reported that Shefali‘s husband Parag Tyagi rushed her to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital, but she was declared dead upon arrival.
Police said that an autopsy is being conduced at Cooper Hospital and People reports that a “cause of death is not yet clear.”
Shefali was known as “Kaanta Laga Girl” thanks to her 2002 remix music video Kaanta Laga. She appeared on multiple seasons of Nach Baliye, India’s version of Dancing With the Stars.
