Tyler, the Creator is revealing the reason he thinks the world has enough of this type of creator.
The 34-year-old “Sticky” rapper revealed in an interview with The Cut that one of his ultimate wishes is to put a stop to people starting podcasts.
Still, Tyler revealed two podcasts that he’s willing to make an exception for.

When asked by The Cut about wanting to ban podcasts, Tyler explained: “I think we give a lot of people who aren’t smart and just want attention platforms to be loud and incorrect, and other stupid people follow them. Where are the people with skills? We need electricians, we need more drummers, painters, teachers. Everybody with a mic is crazy. I just think that s–t is gross.”
The two exceptions to his statement that Tyler called out as “podcasts that are in the right direction” are Grits and Eggs and The Cutting Room Floor.
This isn’t the first time Tyler has spoken about wanting to do away with the platform. In December 2024, he spoke to Billboard about how if he were elected president, banning podcast microphones would be one of his first moves.
