David Corenswet is traveling the world right now for his Superman press tour!
The 31-year-old actor was joined by co-star Rachel Brosnahan and director James Gunn for a press conference on Friday (June 20) in Manila, Philippines.
In a new interview, David opened up about preparing for the role while his wife Julia Best Warner was pregnant with their first child.

“She told me that she was pregnant two days after I found out I was going to screen test for Superman,” David told People. “For the first several months of her pregnancy, as is sort of protocol, we weren’t telling anybody. We had these two quite huge secrets that we just had between the two of us. And that was intense.”
David and Julia ended up having the same weight gain!
“She gained about 40 pounds while she was pregnant and in the same period I gained about 40 pounds gaining weight for Superman,” he said. “I started snoring and had to use her pregnancy pillow.”
