Scott Wolf‘s former spouse, Kelley Wolf, provided a significant update following her recent medical hospital admission.
Through an Instagram post on Thursday, June 19, Kelley revealed she was “forcibly detained” by a “small yet influential circle” of acquaintances. Without mentioning specific names, Kelley stated that these individuals expressed “concerns” about her well-being.
“Honestly. To hell with them,” she expressed. “Which is particularly ironic, given that I authored a book specifically about dealing with anxiety (FLOW — you can verify). Nobody reached out personally. Not a single person offered support or sought clarification. They contacted law enforcement from their coastal retreat in Florida or some beachside location… while enjoying their drinks. That’s not genuine care. That’s manipulation.”
She continued, “The actions taken were within legal bounds. However, they weren’t ethically sound. And it shouldn’t be this simple to exploit concern as a weapon — particularly against women.”
Kelley, 48, was taken to a Utah medical facility on June 13 after being detained at a local accommodation.
“Law enforcement officers responded to the Sundance Resort regarding a female requiring assistance,” local authorities explained in their statement to People magazine. “After interacting with the individual, our officers discovered she had expressed worrying statements to a family member, and similar remarks were made to our officers. This led to our officers transporting her to a nearby medical facility.”
Kelley posted footage of her confrontation with law enforcement on Instagram that day. She requested followers to “show compassion” in a separate social media update posted Wednesday, June 18 — shortly after the event.
In the same detailed Instagram message on Thursday, Kelley also discussed her separation from Scott. (He had announced their parting after 21 years of matrimony earlier this month. The pair share three children: Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 11.)
“I began the separation process nearly a year ago. I’ve been attempting to proceed with divorce proceedings for months, but legal representation issues have delayed progress,” she explained. “While the official filing came from the other side, let me be clear: I’ve been processing this marriage’s end for years. This isn’t denial — it’s acceptance. I’ve moved beyond grief. I’m well into my healing journey. Significantly so.”
She continued, “I’m not trying to be unkind… but I’ve maintained my composure for too long. Anyone who follows me or watches my television appearances would likely describe me as exceptionally pleasant. Well, now I’m genuinely angry. And… content (imagine that). And for those who truly know me, here’s the truth: I’m passionate. Untamed. Unconventional. But I’m also your emergency contact. The one you call when your child faces trouble. The person who assists after your surgery. The friend who organizes birthdays, prepares meals, or sits with you through dark times. So when these very people turned against me? Message received.”
Kelley described her single status as “unexpectedly wonderful,” and provided insights into her current domestic situation.
“Yes, I still enjoy cooking and watching Netflix marathons. I’m a homebody at heart. And perhaps one day, I’ll walk down the aisle again. So please refrain from labeling me as unstable, if you would (you complete fools),” she noted. “Some individuals crossed boundaries — reaching out to my family members, even my children. One supposedly threatened to visit my residence with a tire iron. That matter will be addressed through legal channels.”
Kelley reassured her followers, “don’t be concerned about me. I’m doing well. I’m refreshed,” she concluded. “My children are protected. And I’ve finally found my freedom.”
