Internet lip readers claimed to know what Brittney Griner might have said to fellow WNBA star Caitlin Clark when their teams, the Atlanta Dream and Indiana Fever, played one another a few weeks ago, but she’s now shooting that down.
A reporter, Outkick’s Dan Zaksheske, asked Brittney what was said.
“I remember fouling out, being mad. I really can’t remember what I said, honestly,” Brittney responded.
Brittney was then asked if they said “effing white girl.”

“No. I would never say that. There’s no place for that in our league. I was mad about a call,” Brittney shared.
“I know it wasn’t that because I wouldn’t use that type of language,” Brittney said.
If you don’t know much about Brittney, she’s a few years removed from a harrowing experience where she was detained in Russia for months.
