Cher’s 48-year-old son, Elijah Blue Allman, has been hospitalized.
The son of the 79-year-old music icon and the late Gregg Allman was rushed to the hospital after overdosing in Joshua Tree, California on Saturday morning (June 14), per TMZ.
Elijah is reportedly still in the hospital and “receiving the best care possible,” the outlet reported, adding that he is “lucky to have survived.”

It’s unclear what drugs Elijah was using at the time of his hospitalization.
Cher‘s only concern right now “is for her son’s well-being, and she’s doing everything she can to get him the help he needs,” per a source.
Elijah contested his mother’s legal attempts to establish a conservatorship over him in early 2024, after she claimed he was “substantially unable to manage his own financial resources due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues.”
