Two years after their affair first made headlines, “an engagement is coming” for Holmes and Amy Robach, a source tells Us Weekly exclusively.

“It’s been in the works for a while,” the insider shares.

Robach first hinted at a future engagement on “Amy & T.J.” in December 2024.

“It’s not an if, it’s a when. I like that. I actually appreciate that,” she told listeners, to which Holmes agreed that he would like to remarry “sooner rather than later.”

“I say that based on my exclusive conversations with the bride,” he joked. “I say that because we are not trying to figure things out. We are not trying to see if we want to be together. We’re not trying to do a trial run to see if this thing can work. That’s not where we are. … When we are getting married, that’s going to be a byproduct of what’s happening. And it’s coming.”

The news of the couple’s romance broke in November 2022 while they were still married to Fiebig, 47, and Shue, 58. ABC fired Holmes and Robach for their off-screen relationship in January 2023.

That December, Fiebig, 47, and Shue, 58, went public after finalizing their respective divorcesUs exclusively reported in February that they have moved in together, but a source said they were not in a rush to get engaged.

“Marriage is a big step, so they’re cautious and careful because they got hurt the last time,” the insider added. “It’s more important for them to just be in love, live together, travel and enjoy each other.”
