Steve Burton and Michelle Lundstrom’s Love Story: Key Moments

Steve Burton found love with wife Michelle Lundstrom two years after his divorce from Sheree Burton made headlines.

The General Hospital star split from Sheree in March 2022 after 23 years of marriage amid news that she was expecting a baby with another man. (Sheree welcomed the baby in February 2023 but hasn’t revealed the father’s identity.)

Steve and Sheree, meanwhile, share three children: daughters Makena and Brooklyn and son Jack.

The soap opera star bounced back two years later when he and Lundstrom, who fans might remember from Netflix’s Barbecue Showdown, started dating. The couple went public in June 2024 and less than one year later, Steve proposed to the celebrity chef in January 2025.

Steve confirmed his relationship with Lundstrom to Daily Drama.

June 2024

The pair stepped out for their first red carpet at the Daytime Emmy Awards. “It was a dream of a night from beginning to end,” Lundstrom gushed via Instagram after the awards show. “Thank you for all the beautiful kind comments & messages. I’m truly grateful ❤️🙏🏼.”

Later that month, the chef sang her boyfriend’s praises on his birthday. “It’s a better place with you in this world. Anyone that has you in their life in any capacity is truly blessed,” she wrote in an Instagram tribute. “I think I’ll forever be in awe of what an incredible man and human you are. Thank you for wearing the largest fanny pack in Disney & sharing your beautiful life alongside mine. Wishing you a million more special memories & smiles, you deserve it all! ❤️ #blessedbirthday #love.”

July 2024

Lundstrom enjoyed a day at Disneyland with her two daughters (from a past relationship) as well as Steve and his youngest daughter. She also shared glimpses at a few summertime activities she shared with Steve via social media.

September 2024

“Core birthday memories. Living this beautiful life in amazement, filled with so much love, gratitude & joy,” Lundstrom captioned a series of Instagram photos after celebrating her special day in Orange County, California.

January 2025

Steve announced his engagement to Lundstrom via social media, sharing a video montage of the proposal.

February 2025

The couple kicked off the month with a visit to Disneyland with their kids and friends.

March 2025

“48 hours in #theoc 🥹 I’m walking on sunshine no matter how many boxes are left to unpack. Thank you for all the well wishes on our move to California!” Lundstrom wrote via Instagram on a kissing snap, after officially relocating from New York to California.

May 2025

The couple tied the knot on May 17 at an Orthodox church before celebrating with a reception at Montage Laguna Beach in California.
