Justin Baldoni‘s lawyer is making a big Taylor Swift-related accusation, and Blake Lively‘s lawyer is responding.
Bryan Freedman, who represents Justin in the It Ends with Us legal drama, is accusing Blake‘s team of trying to coerce Taylor Swift.
In a letter filed with the court (via THR), Freedman reportedly wrote that Blake‘s team “demanded that Ms. Swift release a statement of support for Ms. Lively, intimating that, if Ms. Swift refused to do so, private text messages of a personal nature” would be revealed. Freedman further claims that a rep for Taylor “addressed these inappropriate and apparently extortionate threats” in at least one piece of written communication, and he wants to see any communication that was shared. They cited a source that was “highly likely to have reliable information.”
Blake‘s lawyer, Michael Gottlieb, is calling this “categorically false.”
He shared, “We unequivocally deny all of these so-called allegations, which are cowardly sourced to supposed anonymous sources, and completely untethered from reality. This is what we have come to expect from the Wayfarer parties’ lawyers, who appear to love nothing more than shooting first, without any evidence, and with no care for the people they are harming in the process. We will imminently file motions with the court to hold these attorneys accountable for their misconduct here.”
Taylor was subpoenaed in the case by Justin‘s lawyer, and her rep publicly slammed him for dragging her into all of this.
In alleged text messages that were included in the lawsuits, Justin implied that Blake had her husband Ryan Reynolds and BFF Taylor present at a meeting to voice support for her changes to the script.
