When Miranda Lambert took the stage at the Academy of Country Music Awards, her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, was cheering her on from the crowd.
Miranda, 41, and Brendan, 33, skipped the red carpet for the event, but the country singer got the crowd on their feet when she performed two songs throughout the night. She first sang her song “Run” from her latest album, Postcards from Texas. She later joined Ella Langley for a rendition of “Kerosene,” celebrating the 20th anniversary of her breakout album.
Miranda and Brendan first met in 2018 when she performed on Good Morning America and he was working as a New York City police officer. Sparks flew and in January 2019, the couple had officially tied the knot.
“I wanted to share some news,” Miranda wrote alongside a photo of herself in her wedding dress shared via Instagram the following month. “I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full. Thank you, Brendan McLoughlin, for loving me for … me. #TheOne.”
In June 2024, Miranda and Brendan hit a road bump in their relationship when he was caught dancing with a group of women at Miranda’s Nashville bar, Casa Rosa. Clips shared via TikTok showed Brendan dancing with an unidentified brunette and later, having what seemed like an intimate conversation with a mystery blonde. The woman had her hands placed on Brendan’s face as they talked.
However, the blonde, who chose to remain anonymous, spoke to In Touch about their encounter and said it was “innocent.”
“Earlier in the night, we noticed him in the roped-off section at the front of the bar. We recognized him, and we all thought it was cool that he was there, and mentioned hoping for a Miranda appearance,” she told the publication. “We went back to enjoying our night, drinking and dancing with each other and just having a good time.”

She continued, “Somehow, later, we were let into the roped-off section where he was. I’m not sure how that was initiated or happened. We were all dancing together and laughing and talking, thanking him for helping to make our bride-to-be’s night so special and fun. He was gracious and polite and kind. He did a lot of laughing at us, because we are a silly bunch and were having a good time just dancing and being goofy together.”
The woman added that “there was never anything inappropriate said” and “there was no vibe whatsoever of anything other than friendly, innocent dancing and talking.” She also noted that Brendan was “not flirty.”
Fortunately, the instance didn’t cause any lasting damage and in January, the couple celebrated their six-year anniversary. Miranda posted a sweet tribute to her husband and posted a photo of her and Brendan from their wedding day.
“6 years. I’ll love you forever,” the “House That Built Me” artist wrote alongside the pic.
The following month, a source exclusively told Life & Style that they were “very happy” now after the scandal.
“Miranda has trust issues that can cause her to believe the worst-case scenario,” the insider said. “As far as she’s concerned, Brendan did prove to her, without a shadow of a doubt, that nothing had happened during the supposed flirting. But she still struggled to trust him.”
The source continued, “Miranda and Brendan opted to share all their passwords, so that there will never be any questions on either side. It helped to calm a lot of fears. They’re very happy again.”
