Why Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Seemingly Disappeared

It was like catching a glimpse of Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster. Sightings of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift together have been rare following his NFL team’s February Super Bowl trouncing by the Philadelphia Eagles.

In a video that hit the internet on March 10, the pair were spotted in Park City, Utah. They squeezed in a low-key dinner date in New York City four days later. On March 17, eagle-eyed Swifties thought they spotted his hulking figure reflected in the trophy she was holding during a prerecorded iHeartRadio Tour of the Century Award acceptance speech.

And in late March, the tight end and the singer were reportedly seen enjoying a meal with pal Erin Andrews, 46, — the Fox Sports NFL analyst Travis thanked on Instagram in 2023 for encouraging Taylor to go out with him — at a members-only supper club in Big Sky, Montana.

There’s no question they’re staying out of the spotlight. And while some fans initially feared their disappearing act could mean the romance might be in trouble a year-and-a-half after they fell for each other, those worries are unfounded, a source confirms. The 35-year-olds “are still very much in love,” explains a source exclusively to Life & Style. “They’re simply recharging their batteries.”

They needed this. “Taylor’s been in rest-and-relaxation mode since she wrapped her Eras Tour in December,” says the source, noting that aside from a February appearance at the Grammys, “the plan has always been to enjoy the off-season with Travis by packing in a lot of travel.”

Following the Super Bowl, “and all the pressure that went with it,” explains the source, “he desperately needed a break, so Taylor surprised him with a super private trip.”

Since then, they’ve been jet-setting all over. “They’ve been hitting the slopes in Park City and Big Sky, where they blended right in,” says the source, noting “it helps that they can cover up their faces when they’re skiing, since most people are wearing helmets, goggles or face coverings. They love the anonymity.” But there are bound to be more sightings soon.

Though Travis recently told ESPN’s Pat McAfee he plans to spend the off-season getting in “the best shape I’ve [ever] been,” ahead of what commentators believe will be his 13th and final NFL season, he and Taylor aren’t done enjoying themselves yet. “More travel is on the books,” confirms the source, including a “big trip” to Europe this summer before he reports to training camp in July. “After such an intense year,” says the source, “they’re enjoying this time together.”
