Billie Eilish got on with Ariana Grande like a house on fire after a recent public appearance — and now they’re hanging out plenty and bonding over careers, fashion, romance and everything in between, a source exclusively reveals to Life & Style.
“This is a childhood dream come true for Billie,” the source spills. “She’s been the biggest Ariana Grande stan since she was a kid, so it’s just wild to her that they’re now actual friends. She’s blown away and so giddy.”
“When Ariana requested that it be Billie that interviews her for this Q&A for the Academy it was a massive surprise,” adds the source, referring to their Wicked — A Conversation with Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande event at the DGA Theater Complex on Tuesday, February 4. “Billie had no idea that Ariana is a big fan of hers.”
The “Bad Guy” singer, 23, and the Wicked star, 31, “actually have a lot in common, aside from just the music industry,” according to the source, who dishes they are also “very aligned in their politics and beliefs.”
“They’re even vegan, it’s actually wild how in sync they are,” the source continues of the two artists. “Ariana is a veteran of the business so there’s an older sister vibe with her and Billie. She’s definitely a good person for Billie to have in her corner.”
As their friendship grows, the pair are even talking about “doing a song together” and Billie is “psyched” and “coming up with ideas already.”
Billie and Ariana appeared to hint at the potential collaboration during their February Q&A after the “Ocean Eyes” artist mistakenly said they would do a “few more songs” together.
“Oh my God, I meant questions. I’m on tour, you guys,” she said after the crowd went wild. “I’m used to saying that. Sorry. Whoa, OK, OK, OK, two questions.”

Ariana playfully responded, “We do need to do that though,” seemingly alluding to a duet before clarifying they were both “resting” their voices at the moment.
“That’s true,” Billie said. “I do want to do that though.”
Elsewhere in the Q&A, the “Side to Side” singer confessed that Billie had been her “dream person” to conduct the interview, but she hadn’t thought she would agree because she was “too busy” and “too fabulous.”
Billie then admitted she’d been a major fan of her for years.
“I love this girl so much and I love this movie so much and I love you,” Billie gushed, adding that she still uses her childhood YouTube channel that she once used to watch videos featuring Ariana. “I was just in the car telling my mom that you can find old interviews of you from like 2014 with Billie Eilish comments like, ‘I’m Team Ari.’”
“There’s many things where I commented like, ‘God, I just love Ariana so much,’” she continued. “And I used to call you ‘Ari’ to my brother [Finneas], and he’d be like, ‘Don’t call her Ari, you don’t know her!’”
