Taylor Swift is there for her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, following the Kansas City Chiefs’ loss against the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl LIX.

“Taylor is supporting Travis during this difficult time and it’s just trying to be there for him as much as possible,” a source told Us Weekly in an interview published on Tuesday, February 11. “The game obviously did not go as planned.”

While the Chiefs had an impressive regular season, Travis, 35, and his teammates were able to defeat the Eagles during the February 9 game and lost with a score of 40-22. Travis’ performance was notably not up to par, as he only had four catches for 39 yards.

Similar to most of the Chiefs’ home games this season, Taylor, 35, attended the game and cheered on her boyfriend from a private suite with friends including Ice Spice, Machine Gun Kelly and the Haim sisters. While she usually appears in good spirits during his games, the “Wildest Dreams” singer appeared visibly stressed as she watched the game unfold.

During the outing, Taylor looked casual and cute in a white blazer that she paired with a white top and blue shorts underneath. She completed the look with white boots and a “T” necklace around her neck. The accessory seemed to be a tribute to Travis, and she previously wore a “T” thigh chain to the Grammy awards one week earlier.

Early on in the game, Taylor was booed by fans in attendance when she appeared on the jumbotron at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. She quickly reacted by making a side eye at the camera. However, she quickly adjusted her mood Taylor and smiled while talking to her friends before the camera cut away.

While the Super Bowl didn’t go how Taylor and Travis planned, the couple still has a lot to look forward to during his offseason. Prior to the game, an insider exclusively told Life & Style that their inner circle expects them to get engaged sooner rather than later.

“Everyone in Travis and Taylor’s world assumes an engagement is coming,” the source revealed in a story published on February 6. “In fact, a lot of people find it pretty extraordinary that it hasn’t happened already.”

The insider added that the professional athlete has been “so open about Taylor being The One” and there’s no doubt that he “wants to spend the rest of his life with her and vice versa.”

When it comes to when he’ll finally pop the question, the source said that Travis “wants to knock it out of the park.”

Following the game, many fans are wondering if Travis will retire from the NFL. While he hasn’t confirmed his plans for the upcoming season, the Ohio native previously praised Taylor for her support of his career.

“She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game,” he said about his girlfriend while appearing on the Stephen A. Smith Show on January 15. “She loves coming to Arrowhead [Stadium] and coming to the games and cheering for me so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams.”
