Kylie Kelce teased how she learned that her brother-in-law, Travis Kelce, was dating Taylor Swift.
During the Wednesday, February 12, episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, host Alex Cooper told Kylie, 32, that she assumed Travis, 35, had told his family “in some capacity” that he was dating Taylor, 35, before their romance made headlines.
“We were not,” Kylie responded. “I will say, we knew before everyone else knew but it was not, like … it did not hit the group chat.”
After Alex, 30, asked if her husband, Jason Kelce, learned of the romance first, she revealed, “Jase and I found out together.”
Despite revealing that they found out before the general public, Kylie did not share any insight on how Travis announced their relationship to her and Jason, 37.
“Jase and I found out together, but we knew before they hard launched with her going to a game,” she continued, referring to Taylor revealing their romance when she attended the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Chicago Bears game at Arrowhead Stadium on September 24, 2023.
Kylie went on to share more insight about her interactions with Taylor, and she reflected on meeting the “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” singer for the first time and the Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills game in January 2024.
After she confirmed that the game at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, was in fact the first time she and Jason met Taylor in person, Kylie said that people were “deeply disturbed by this.”
“There was, like, all this stuff leading up to it [the meeting] about, ‘Well, why haven’t they met, they’re avoiding each other.’ I’m not avoiding anyone,” she said, acknowledging that they met four months after Taylor and Travis confirmed their romance. “It was funny to me because I kept saying to people, ‘I didn’t meet Travis for probably close to a year when Jase and I were dating.’”
The podcast episode was filmed one day before the Chiefs played against the Philadelphia Eagles at the Super Bowl on February 9. While Taylor and Kylie were not photographed together during the event at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, they were both in attendance and likely spent time together at the game.
One night before the big game, Kylie joined Taylor and her friends Alana and Danielle Haim for dinner at Gianna Restaurant. While Kylie did not enter the restaurant with the group, a video posted to social media by a fan account showed the mother of three in attendance of what appeared to be a friends and family dinner to celebrate the Chiefs making it to the championship game.
In addition to spending time with Taylor and Travis’ games, Kylie has also supported the “Enchanted” singer by attending her Eras tour. She and Jason saw the record-breaking show for the first time during a June 2024 performance in London. The couple was spotted with a “stack of friendship bracelets” during the show at Wembley Stadium, and photos of their outing were quickly shared online.
