ABC has not confirmed the cast list at this time, but we’d all but guarantee that Kaitlin Olson and Daniel Sunjata will for sure be back. Amirah J also confirmed she will return as Ava, which means we’d imagine Matthew Lamb will also be back as Elliot.
Amirah shared with ABC about season 2, “I’m really excited just to kind of see more about her upbringing and kind of what her life was like when it was just her and Morgan for those few years before her siblings came, and just really see how that has kind of shaped her into who she is now.”
High Potential follows a single mom (Olson) with an exceptional mind, whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective (Sunjata). The series also stars Javicia Leslie as Daphne, Deniz Akdeniz as Lev “Oz” Ozdil, and Judy Reyes as Selena.
ABC shared that the show is super popular and had gotten 30 million viewers since its debut across various platforms.
Fans are wondering when the series might debut its second season. While ABC has not confirmed, we are assuming it will air in the fall. Season 1 debuted in September of 2024, and fans are hoping it’s on a similar cycle.
