Kelsea Ballerini is telling people who spread pregnancy rumors about her to “Get Over Yourself.”
The country-pop singer, 31, took to her TikTok to clap back at a fan who asked if she was “maybe pregnant” after Kelsea admitted to being sick during her concert in Detroit on February 4.
“Or maybe it’s the flu. Yeah,” the “Cowboys Cry Too” hitmaker said in her February 6 video, which showed her wearing a black puffer jacket, a colorful trucker hat and under-eye masks.
In the caption, Kelsea added, “Anyway, feeling better and can’t wait to see you tonight Buffalo.”
Unfortunately, it turned out that the Voice coach was sicker than she anticipated, and she ended her show at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York, after performing just a few songs.
“Buffalo, I am so so sorry that I could not finish the show tonight,” Kelsea said in a subsequent TikTok. “I am sicker than I am trying to be and I did not want to let anyone down tonight.”
She continued, “I just got through the first few songs and I couldn’t do it. I’m so sorry but I never want to give you a half-ass show.”
Kelsea explained that she would have to reschedule three shows in Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Toronto to the end of her tour in April.
“I will make them the best shows I’ve ever played in my life. I will put out every stop for you and I will make it so worth it. I’m gonna go rest now and get better so I can really show up for the rest of this tour. And thank you for the grace to be human with, and I love you,” she concluded.
In the caption, Kelsea added, “Flu got the better of me. I’m so so sorry my friends, I tried my best. rescheduled dates are posted.”
Kelsea returned to the stage at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Monday, February 10, and she appeared to be feeling much better.
“Just what the doctor ordered,” the “Miss Me More” singer captioned a carousel of photos, including snaps from the concert and one of her point-of-view while sitting in bed with a bowl of chicken soup from Chick-fil-A.
Kelsea’s illness and response to the pregnancy rumors came amid her relationship with Outer Banks star Chase Stokes. The pair were first linked in January 2023 when they were spotted together at the 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship in L.A. Chase, 32, seemingly confirmed their romance the following month when he commented a heart emoji on one of her Instagram posts.
Two years later, the couple is going strong and seem to be more in love than ever.
“Two years of catching each other in countless cities, perfecting a chimichurri steak and creating a world that revolves around dogs,” Kelsea wrote on Instagram in January. “Love you so, teammate.”
In his own anniversary post, Chase added, “2 laps around the sun with you, I love you kb. (especially when you laugh so hard you wheeze, and 8 am dance routines to your toothbrush).”
While the two are not engaged yet, a source exclusively told Life & Style in December 2024 that it was only a matter of time.
“He’s very romantic and is always saying that she’s the woman he wants to spend his life with,” the insider said. “They both say all the time that they’ve found their soulmate, so there really is no reason not to take that next step.”
