Khloé Kardashian shared some painful truths ahead of her first face-to-face reunion with her ex-husband, Lamar Odom, in almost a decade during the season 6 premiere of The Kardashians.
The Hulu star, 40, said she didn’t “have a lot of emotion” towards seeing the former NBA player, 45. “I have dealt with so much trauma in this relationship for years and this was such the love of my life that to learn how to unlove someone — to have to go through all that — it’s almost like a death,” she said on the Thursday, February 6, episode.
Khloé and Lamar married in 2009 after a whirlwind romance. She filed for divorce in 2013 but put off formalizing it following the hoopster’s near-fatal 2015 drug overdose. Their divorce was finalized in 2016.
The Good American founder decided to meet up with Lamar at best friend Malika Haqq‘s house to give him back some of his belongings and put things to rest ahead of her turning 40.
“Lamar was, and is, definitely someone that I was like, the love of my life. I got married when I was 24 and although him and I got married 30 days to the day after meeting one another, I loved him with all of my heart and soul,” Khloé explained in a confessional ahead of the meeting.
“I took my vows very seriously and I was married for about seven years, but there were bigger things that were not fixable in that marriage,” she continued. “I haven’t had contact with Lamar in nine years and I just think it’s time to shed as much as I can.”
Khloé went on to explain that she was forced to “break contact with him” in 2015 after discovering Lamar was “repeating some of the same behaviors that I just couldn’t stand for” after she helped nurse him back to health following the drug overdose that left him in a coma.
“I was very upset. I said to him, ‘I’m going to Vegas. You need to be out by Monday. That’s it, I’m done,’” Khloé recalled about kicking Lamar out of a home she rented for him during his recovery. “And I haven’t seen Lamar since that day.”
Koko added, “I don’t have bad blood. I don’t have any blood. There’s no feelings. want him to have his stuff …and that’s it. I wish I could just do that and not have a conversation.”
Lamar arrived at their meeting nearly an hour late, which upset Khloé. He claimed it was because he was busy shopping, as the former professional athlete brought along champagne and flowers.
“Just in the first glance of seeing Lamar, I feel a little bit of — God, this is so familiar and so unchartered all at the same time. I don’t know this person anymore. I don’t know. It’s really just a mindf–k. I don’t know how else to explain it,” she explained in a confessional about their reunion.
The mother of two pointed out that Lamar appeared to be “visually uncomfortable,” “scared” and “nervous” during their meet up, which did little to put her at ease.

“I don’t know what he thinks about me, like, if I’m going to go off on him. He just seems very scared, and I don’t want anyone to be that uncomfortable. It’s just making me more uncomfortable, too,” Khloé said.
She gave Lamar back a diamond necklace she previously gifted him during their marriage featuring three angel wings to represent his late mother, late grandmother and late son Jayden, who died in 2006 at just six months old.
“Aww, Khloé, you are the best,” he said while accepting the jewelry. She also returned other items including his mom’s driver’s license and Lamar’s NBA Sixth Man of the Year award he won in 2011 while playing for the Los Angeles Lakers.
“My wife is the s–t,” Lamar told Khloé after getting his items back, which she found off-putting. After telling him, “OK, calm down,” she said in a in a confessional, “Him calling me ‘his wife’ — words are empty.”
Khloé added, “I can see Lamar is having such a hard time speaking. And I understand. We have been through so much. Maybe I remind him of a time in his life that’s a really dark time. I don’t know. But right now it’s just uncomfortable memories and feelings.”
“I took you through a lot, huh?” Khloé ex-husband told her, while she replied, “I can’t say that was the easiest time,” she responded.
“No, not for me either. Yeah, I f–ked up … with you. I love you for trying your hardest with me, man,” Lamar admitted to Khloé, who thanked him for his honesty.
The former couple’s conversation continues in the February 13 episode of The Kardashians.
