This night is sparkling! Taylor Swift celebrated her 35th birthday in style with an epic Eras tour-themed celebration with her closest friends, including boyfriend Travis Kelce.
Taylor, 35, was seen in photos shared by Brittany Mahomes on Wednesday, December 18, wearing a sleek black minidress as she posed for photos with her fellow Kansas City Chiefs WAGS. Brittany, 29, donned a Fearless era look in a silver sequined dress with sparkly boots as her husband, Patrick Mahomes, dressed in a tuxedo to rep the iconic “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” skit from the Tortured Poets Department era.
Pals Lyndsay Bell and Ashley Avignone wore Lover and Reputation inspired looks, respectively.
“My people,” Brittany captioned her post, adding a heart hand emoji.
While Travis, 35, was not pictured in Brittany’s post, he reportedly went all out for his girlfriend’s special day, spending $175,000 on her gifts, including a rose gold Day-Date 36 Rolex, valued at $60,350 and other jewelry from Tiffany & Co. and Van Cleef & Arpels, according to The U.S. Sun.
Just one day before her birthday, the “Karma” singer paid a visit to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City on Thursday, December 12. Videos and photos of Taylor posing with patients and families went viral on social media.
One series of photos showed the songstress in hysterics after a patient showed off their Kansas City Chiefs throw blanket that read “Go Taylor’s Boyfriend.” In another video a patient told Taylor, “I like Travis now,” to which the “So High School” artist responded, “Yes, me too! That’s an absolute yes on that one.”
Later that same night, on the eve of her 35th birthday, Taylor made history at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards, becoming the most decorated in the awards show’s history.
While Taylor was unable to attend the show, she was seen via a prerecorded video of her acceptance speech.
“I just want to say hi and thank you to the Billboard Awards and thank you to the fans because Billboard is counting your stuff, they’re counting what you listen to, the albums that you’re passionate about. And so I count these as fan awards because you guys are the ones who care about our albums and come see us in concert,” she said. “And everything that’s happened with the Eras tour and The Tortured Poets Department, I just have to say thank you. It means the world to me that you guys have embraced the things I’ve made and the fact that you care so much. This is like, the nicest early birthday present you could have given me. So thank you very much. I love it. It’s exactly what I wanted.”
Taylor took home 10 awards, including Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Hot 100 artist and Top Hot 100 songwriter.
The Pennsylvania native has been spending extra time in Kansas City after wrapping her record-breaking Eras tour earlier this week. After 149 shows, on five continents over the span of 21 months, Taylor took her final bow in Vancouver, Canada, on Sunday, December 8.
“We have had so many adventures. It has been the most exciting, powerful, electrifying, intense, most challenging thing I’ve done in my entire life. We’ve gotten to perform for over 10 million people on this tour,” she told the crowd. “And tonight, we get to play one last show for you here tonight in beautiful Vancouver. We’re gonna make it count.”
Following the show, the pop star took to social media to share a series of photos from the tour with the caption, “It was rare. I was there. I remember it.”
